i am going to say it one more time.
THERE IS MERCURY IN THE HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP!!
oh. my.
i can't get over it. the study was published by the institute for agricultural and trade policy. there is a list of the 55 foods they found containing mercury, along with the level of detection. AND, it's not where you think; quaker oatmeal to go is at the top of the list.

so what kind of oatmeal should i eat?
i think that it is just the "to go" variety that has high fructose corn syrup. i bet that, if you buy a big box of oats, you will discover they have fewer ingredients, and probably not fructose corn syrup.
it's going to be pre-made things, like granola bars and cookies, that have the most unfortunate ingredients.
SO, i guess that means i don't have to get rid of my big container of quaker oatmeal?
Ashley, my gf just bought two boxes of Quaker Oatmeal To Go squares on sale at the supermarket. Now I know why they were on sale!!! I am telling her not to eat them right now. Though she also drinks a lot of Coke, so maybe it's moot. Top of the list is really special, though. Thanks for re-posting, I needed the reminder. Somehow I was repelled by the Quaker Oats bars at the supermarket, but I couldn't quite remember why.
