durham, on my mind.

durham, nc is in the process of conversion away from tobacco and towards eating locally. there are a variety of restaurants opening this year that will focus on foods that came from near. in a conversation with a professor at unc, i learned that the state as a whole is really trying to move away from tobacco, that hopefully it will be more lucrative (and obviously healthier) to grow food. rocks.
